The foodproof SL GMO Bt11 Maize Detection Kit enables qualitative detection of genetically modified Bt11 corn by real-time PCR. Imports of Bt11 maize have been authorized in the EU since 1998. Starting in 2004, Bt11 maize was approved in the EU for use in food and feed. However, cultivation is still not approved in the EU, and the label “not for cultivation” is required on feed and other products.
